Stamford, CT, 06/13/2011 — Moore Physical Therapy and Fitness is expanding again with the addition of its fourth Physical Therapy and Fitness Center at 83 Harvard Avenue, Stamford. This 8,700 square foot space, planned to open June 27, will complement a sister office currently located at 1250 Summer Street.
Stamford native, Steve Melchionno, a licensed Physical Therapist and Orthopedic Certified Specialist, will be returning to the Stamford area to oversee the opening and operations at the Harvard Avenue office. Steve is currently a Managing Partner and has been with Moore since 1994. He was born in Stamford and graduated from Westhill High School. “I am excited to return to Stamford and provide quality healthcare to this community”, said Steve. His father, Teddy, has been operating an auto body shop not far from the new location for decades and he looks forward to the two generations operating side by side.
The new office location allows the twenty-one year old business to expand beyond physical therapy and provides a significant addition to the quality of care at Moore – the addition of personal training. This unique offer will provide comprehensive post-rehabilitation care to clients. It is in line with the company’s philosophy, “To Get You Better and Keep You Healthy”. The facility has ample space and will offer physical therapy, personal training, and other health and wellness related services. It is conveniently located off Exit 6 of I-95. It also allows Moore the ability to offer physical therapy to Greenwich and Westchester County communities.
Moore Physical Therapy is composed of dedicated health care professionals with a history of providing the best care and services to our clients in Fairfield County since 1990. We are dedicated to bringing movement, strength and confidence back to the lives of our physical therapy and fitness clients. In the past two decades, the business has grown to 70 employees with a 10,000-square-foot location at 37 Danbury Road, Wilton, 4,000 square-foot space at 53 Old King's Highway North in Darien, a 3,000-square-foot venue at 1250 Summer St., in Stamford, and a fourth, 8,700-square-foot facility in Stamford will be opening June 27th. Our staff consists of licensed physical therapists, certified personal trainers, certified athletic trainers, licensed massage therapists, a nutritionist, physical therapy aides and support team members. Many members of the Moore team have earned advanced degrees in physical therapy and many have multiple certifications in specialty areas such as ergonomics, nutrition, Etcheberry tennis instruction, stretching and strength and conditioning.
