Although Chris joined Moore almost three years ago as a PT Aide, he recently joined Moore Fitness as a certified athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach. He earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Sacred Heart University.
While attending Sacred Heart, as an athletic training student, he worked at a local high school and for both men’s and women’s lacrosse and football teams. While working with these teams, Chris assisted in daily preparation of athletes for practice and competition, acute injury care, and rehabilitation from injury. He also assisted the sprint coach of the track and field team with their strength and conditioning program.
Chris has also held two strength and conditioning internship positions at Division 1 universities working with their scholarship athletes. He served an internship at Quinnipiac University for the men’s and women’s basketball and hockey teams. He also spent time in Fort Worth, TX working primarily with TCU football. As of Fall 2011, Chris will be an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Quinnipiac University for seven of their D1 sports teams.
Athletically, Chris has competed in football, baseball and swimming and enjoys playing soccer in his free time. Currently, he plays on a men’s rugby club team based in Norwalk, CT. He has also played for Sacred Heart and men’s club teams in MA and CT.
Chris says that working at Moore has had a major impact on his career as an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach. “I enjoy going to work and knowing that the people I get to work alongside are incredibly helpful and caring.”
