Prevent Common Football Injuries
Neck
A jolt or sharp pull on the neck can cause a "stinger." Improved
posture, form and upper body and neck strength is needed.
Hip
Core strength plus improved flexibility will combat "hip pointer," caused
by contusion, pressure or repetitive stress to the hip.
Knee
Analysis of movement, body mechanics and flexibility will pick up risk for
patello-femoral symptoms or ACL tear.
Shoulder
Strengthening upper body and core helps prevent strain, tears and dislocation
of shoulder and rotator cuff.
Ankle
Prevent sprained ankles with training in footwork, coordination, balance and
lower extremity strength. [return
